AVEVA PI Client Training

This is our most popular course. We interactively cover all end-user PI products including an overview of AVEVA PI, PI ProcessBook, Datalink for Excel, PI Vision (if applicable), and PI Asset Framework. We also give you lots of tips and tricks.

The course material is fully customized to your site, data, tags and real-world scenarios.

AVEVA PI Admin Training

This AVEVA PI system admin course covers the administrative functions of the PI system. This includes tag building, daily checks, security, backups and much more. It is a site-based, interactive, and workshop-style course.

Our course materials are customized to your site to include real world scenarios using your data and architecture. 

Our experienced trainers help your administration users get the most out of the investment in your PI system data infrastructure. Course customizations include the PI Asset Framework, PI Notifications, Microsoft Excel, Power BI tools, PI Vision, admin, etc.

Support

We offer various levels of technical support for all aspects of the AVEVA PI System and related applications, including proactive and reactive support, periodic system checks and PI System admin support. Read on to learn more.

PROACTIVE SUPPORT

Dimension Software monitors your PI System health in near real-time, including:

Data is sent back to Dimension Software on a periodic basis and is monitored by our support team.

Issues are resolved in a timely manner often before they are noticed by end users.

Proactive support ensures you can relax knowing your AVEVA PI servers are being taken care of and issues are being dealt with promptly.

REACTIVE SUPPORT

This is typically known as level 2 and level 3 support.

Level 3 support is generally after a help desk engineer has triaged the support call.

Dimension Software will troubleshoot as required typically via remote connection such as VPN, Webex, Teams etc.

Typically, contact is via our dedicated support email / phone line.

This support is generally break / fix based.

It may be PI itself, backups, security, interfaces, end user support, associated engines such as ACE, analytics, programmatic connectivity, business to business connectivity, etc.

PERIODIC SYSTEM CHECKS

We check the oil in our car periodically, but we still take our cars in for a WOF and service for expert checks and advice.

The PI system is no different. Dimension Software is able to use its in-depth PI System experience and knowledge to carry out periodic system health checks and identify issues, impending issues, etc. Results are reported back on completion of the system check.

Periodic checks can range from weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly.

PI SYSTEM ADMIN SUPPORT

PI is a specialized system requiring a diverse skill-set. Our team can carry out the administration component including tag administration, display and report management, system management, etc.
